2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted

More than 150 world leaders attended the UN Sustainable Development Summit at the UN headquarters in New York to formally adopt an ambitious new sustainable development agenda for the world. The historic new agenda, entitled “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” agreed upon by the 193 Member States of the United Nations, includes 17 concrete Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In the night of September 17 to 18, 1961, the plane ‘Albertina’ crashed under hitherto un-clarified circumstances when approaching the Northern Rhodesian mining town of Ndola. On board were the UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld and 15 others. Dag Hammarskjöld is buried in the family grave in Uppsala. His legacy has survived. “In this 70th anniversary […]
